Update on Canadian MSP deliveries

Hi All,
I called my dealer again yesterday to ask when I am going to get my car...

Their rep was in last week, and told them they are trying to release 10 cars a day.
I don't know if it's BS or not, but it's news anyway.

I was hinted at April being the absolute earliest that the 2003.5's could START getting out. And they didn't sound to positive about that.

This was the 1st time I was talking to this guy, so don't know how much I trust that yet.


Your best bet is to keep at the dealers. that'll drive them nuts, in turn it will drive MCI nuts.

Your/my cars are just sitting there aging, fading, getting flat spots in tires etc etc....not good.

Well, I have an interesting situation. I don't want my car NOW.
I want to wait for about a month for all this snow to go away, and for my 25th Birthday (insurance decrease).
I'm quite content with April, as it works out well with my plans.
My dealer said they don't mind sitting on the car for a few weeks though...
We'll see.

My Sympathies

I just checked the dealerships around me and they all have at least one MSP on the lot. Most show 2 to 4 MSPs on the lot. One of the dealers has 6 showing on his lot. They are all the black and orange variety.

Yeah my dealership told me that there is a 95% chance of me getting mine before March 1 but I have a group that wants to sponser my car in a car show here in edmonton but it starts on the 27th so now i am trying to push really hard. but they told me that they can`t track it like fed ex or whatever.... so let me get this straight fed ex CAN track a $5 package but mazda CAN`T track a $30000 car? :wtf:

exactly....they do not want to or have to.....at the end of the day these cars are sold...they can take thier sweet time and a line up of people are waiting to buy them....

Mine will be available at my dealer if I go with the lexus IS300 on the weekend.

Well, winnipeg finally got its first two MSP's....they're both at different dealerships....i think that one is already sold

JUST had a call from my dealer.
He called to say he asks his Rep every day where my car is...
The rep told him he hasn't seen any since the initial release to qualify for "car of the year" awards, but that they are sending them out still, and I should have mine in around 30 days...

At least I know mine won't be here for months yet

"am I going to have these horrendous problems everyone is talking about"?
Then I think about how happy AGR#7 is, and I think:
"Hey, can't be too bad"!

Waiting, waiting, waiting... It will be 2004 before our 2003 MSP's ever get here...

Yea I live in waterloo Ontario and my dealer tells me that I should have mine hopefully before I go to calgary march 5, I will not take that car to calgary but would like to have it for when I come back.
