Unsolvable rattling from somewhere...

I have tried to pinpoint this rattle that has been driving me nuts the past couple of weeks. I thought it was coming from the front right passenger side, but after taking off the entire panel to try and fix it, still no solution. When I play my tunes up from my Ipod past like volume 22 there is this constant rattle from any kind of bass hit that seems to come from the right side but I can't figure it out lol. It won't happen though if I balance out the sound just to the right side, it'll only happen all the speakers are working and balanced. Any suggestions? It's getting really annoying

do you have the GT with the B(l)ose stereo? If so, I'm guessing loose change in the subwoofer under the passenger seat -- a fairly common occurrence.

Yea mine is a GT with the Bose Stereo system. That has to be it, because I feel like I have tried every other possible solution to pinpoint the rattle. Is it difficult to get down there by taking off the seat?

naw, 4 bolts for the seat and 3 for the rich bass enclosure
it would be wise to do some sort of screen over the opening while you have it off to prevent further deposits to the OEM piggy bank

Haha so you guys are right, I had this sound come on that was perfect for the rattle and I finally found that it was coming from the one and only..... sub under the passenger seat! Go figure, now I just have to take it out and go get a piece to put over the opening like you said. Who knows how much junk is in there!

Just did the fix today. I went to Home Depot to buy some mesh to put over the opening and when I took out the seat and subwoofer, a nice little 12 cents fell out of there. I put the mesh on and put it all back together and no more rattle. Everything sounds great!

You have a discerning ear.

I was able to score a happy meal after emptying mine
