Unidentified "beeping sound"

Hey my engine lite came on the other day and soon thereafter shortly after you would run the car (2004 6s Wagon) you would hear one "beep" coming somewhere from the dash area. Then after a while longer you hear another beep sound. Took it to my mechanic the diagnostic said it was a misfire in cylinder #5. He said the car is notorious for burning out the coils with the plug (I have 62K on the clock). He switched cy5 with cy4 and reset the check engine lite. No recreated fault as yet but the dang beep is still there. ANybody have a clue. Let me know, Gene

Maybe the beeping is the radio? Try turning off the beep function?

Nice try. THe beep periodically happens even when the radio is off. Go figure. Any other ideas? Anyone?

U may have a seat belt warning indicator system malfunctioning intermitently , the sound indication part of the system not the dash symbol part ,u can get that programmed off at your dealership ,the sound part of it ,just my 2 bits ,good luck .
