Unichip or 626 manifold

I already have a vibrant jpipe back exhaust, custommsp intercooler and a sri.
Looking for more power, but concerned about boosting above stock levels. Opinions please??????
 
personally i would go for the unichip first, unless its a big deal to get it retuned once you get the new mani.

In general, boost is safest when using EMS (like the unichip). you could probably turn it up some without, since you've got supporting mods, but personally i don't plan on fiddling with it till i have EMS.
 
Unichip will bring you substancially more gains than the manifold and it can easily be reprogrammed once you get the manifold, so personally I would go with the unichip first. With your existing mods you shouldn't have to worry about adding boost to the stock motor. Just make sure you have a boost gauge so you can keep an eye on how much you're pushin.

Check to make sure and see if there is a unichip dealer around you. You will have to send it away to get reprogrammed if not. The intake manifold will yield better gains at higher boost levels...I'd go with an AFC over the unichip though. You can tune it yourself and it comes with a base map that can be used immediately w/o tuning. It's also about 1/3 the price...with that you could just get both.
 
I just got both. i got the mani first and started leaning out, which i thought was impossible. Now i have the unichip and am waiting on the GHL turbo back exhaust, gt28rs, nology sparks and the MAF relocation kit. then i go to a local unichip certified tuner in my area to get it custom tuned to my car specifically. in my sig is my gains without the unichip. Right now i am running unichip with just the intake,exhaust map. Soon... all hell will break loose on the track and those evo's will be crying to mommy!!!

Short answer. Both!
 
or street unit.com but i don't think i am allowed to mention them on this board any more. they have like 48 ready for a MSP in stock right now, that is why i mention them. they overnighted mine to me! I paid for shipping of course but i ordered it at 5pm and had it at my door at 10am.

There is no question....Unichip. The most bang for the buck...(no pun intended)
 
Get the mani that is PnP'd on the FS section with one of the unichips! It will treat you well...
