Unichip is coming for the MS3!

You would need a different connector and tune for the cx-7 so unless they design one for the cx-7 it won't work

How much power?
Can the engine make peak power past 5500rpm?
Better fuel economy?

Problem with unichip is it will be a conservative tune for one and if you decide to add more things, your going to be s*** out of luck when it comes to making the changes. I would wait for the PNP CPE/XEDE/COBB dealio so you get more mileage out of your system.

i dont know about the idea of a chip on this car. odds are it will not be user tunable. every time you add a mod and want to update yor tune you will have to see a unichip tuning center and spend a couple hundred $$ to make the adjustments. things like the standback , and soon to be access port allow the user to modify their own tune.

I also spoke with cobb. The tuning software the the MS3 is supposed to be done in February. You will only be able to be tuned at a authorized cobb dealer, the software will not be open source.

COBB told me the same thing about availability at SEMA

Why the hell did they choose to release the RX8 platform over the MS3/6 platform first?

Yeah, did they say anything about the throttle plate? I don't think I will be buying anything that can't control the throttle plate closing.

The whole story with a MS3 is the throttle plate and boost controll so there is absolutely no point in purchasing anything that can not controll that effectively period. So i guess hopefully within a year, someone might make an effort and come out with a decent pnp piggy,by which time ofcourse,we would have 30K miles on our odometers ready to trade the bloody cars in for an EVO X or STI or better still 2009 Camaro.(rofl)(flash)

Th answer i got was that they were waiting the longest.

There is virually no performance increase left in their NA motors to warrant a freaking AP setup!

You always come out ahead with boost. I guess they want to be late to the game. Its CP-E's market now.

The RX-8 desperately needs that extra 12 HP :) The actual reason the RX8 is coming out first is because it has been being worked on longer therefore it is closer to being completed.

So if thats the reason then why is the 08 wrx getting the AP before us...We have been waiting longer so it should be closer for us to get it acording to your terms...
