Umnitza intake WTF? CEL

I have reset the check engine light with the battery disconnect and brake pump action, had the stealer reset it and I also cleaned the MAF sensor and th Muther Fu&^!r comes back on after about 500 mi, it runs better than when I reset it so what gives? and how can I turn this SOB off for good.

Thanks Blackwidow

what version of the intake is it? Did you disconnect the MAF cable from the battery box? Is your car running smoothly or is it bogging at certain rpms. Did you oil your filter? What is the code you are getting? Did the dealership tell you anything when the reset it? I need more info before I can give you advise.

Oiled the filter with K&N oil. did not disconnect cable from BB there is no strain on cable. it has RPM issues at stop signs or lights, and as for code they said something about having to order a part called a purge valve, and they were not covering it under warrenty the Aholes.

There is your problem right there, you oiled the filter with k & n oil. Probally got sucked right into the MAF.

oil bad for MAF,it's death.

whenyour MIL comes back,go get it checked out,and see what code it is.

the RPM dips are a telltale sign that the CEL is about to light up. If this occurs every 500mi then you have a constant problem. The CEL will light up when the ECU sees the same error during 2 drive cycles (not necessarily 2 times you drive the car)

If you're confident the intake is installed correctly and all is tight (assuming you have a V1 or V3 version...the V2 alone will NOT work. You need V2 combined with V3 parts) then the MAF sensor is most likely the culprit, especially since you oiled the filter.

Try to locate a local friend with an MZ3 and swap the MAF to test it out.

All you need to do is clean the MAF you are not supposed to oil the simota filter and everyone who has done so has thrown a cel if it is your pcv put your car back to stock and take it to another dealership. Never take your car to the dealer with an intake on unless you want to void your waranty. You also need to disconnect the cables from your battery box. While they may not seem under stress, when the engine is under torque it moves a lot more than you would think.
