Ultimate Racing's Preview

there was one idiot that bought a boost controller for his MSP and was bragging about running it at 12 psi!!
he wanted to try 14psi but we convinced him that it would be a VERY dumb idea
I think he said he was just going to leave it at 9psi
but I cannot remember
we should have let him try 14 psi so we could all have had a good laugh

it is programed to use larger injectors
whoo hoo (pow)
oh yeah and uses totally different fuel maps for boost and not go into to retard mode when it sees boost.

and it MIGHT have a boost cut, but nobody really knows for sure

No boost cut or if it is its really high which would be pointless. if the boost cut was at 12 psi then you would prob blow your motor anyways and that would take the whole point away from it. boost cut is usual set at about 4 psi above stock or less. I have hit 10.3 something trying to tune my boost controller and it did not cut it.

its kinda scarry.....like giving a loaded gun to a child.... except in this scenario it would be a noobie to Forced Induction + MSP + an aftermarket boost controller.

"look what I can do....i can run 12 psi"

Just throw it on a dyno with a wideband and keep upping the boost until it shows signs of leaning out. Almost all mazda turbo cars that I've played with have had a boost cut or fuel limited boost cut on them. All I've heard is speculation of a 10psi limit.
