UK front bumper conversion

It's been asked, and no-one has really had an answer. I'm going to go ahead and assume that the mounting points line up, but you might need different rebar/bumper supports. Who knows.

The UK bumper does fit onto USDM Mazda 2, however you'll have to cut radiator support beam, which obviously voids all warranties on the car. Also it's quite expensive to ship here. That was the response I got from Mazda of UK..
Definitely looks better though IMO.

I know that the UK bumper will fit our US Mazda 2 for sure but I'm not sure how much modification it'll need. Also, the shipping cost for the UK bumper will cost you a ridiculous amount. No doubt about it.

I've emailed www.sgpetch.co.uk several times to try to get them to work with me to get some of those UK bumpers to offer to you guys but they won't even reply. Someone on their Facebook page told me that the reason they probably aren't responding is that they don't want to sell them to me for what ever reason. Probably shipping costs and possible fitment issues.

It's a shame. They are very nice. Same deal with the projector headlights.

If you were to get hold of a UK 2007-2010 bumper, I presume you would also need the lower grille and fog lamp unit?. I live near SG Petch so I could have a word and ask for a price and shipping costs to the US. Failing that, I also have a contact at another Mazda dealer who I presume will give me a price as well. Let me know if you want me to find out for you guys.

Thanks for the offer. I would like to know.

Fellas it fits just fine but u need to change all the small plastic parts that the bumper fits on including the wheelarch mud guards even the liscene plate holder . I know coz i did this to my car it has now the sporty oem look

It fits. Minor fitment issues that are easily fixed. I installed the Thia front bumper on mine and Thai Mazda 2 owners have install the UK front bumper on theirs.

so whats the numbers ill be looking at to get it over here to California? and will it be voiding any warranties?

You can find used one's on UK eBay. The shipping will probably cost your double to triple the cost of the bumper. I've seen them for around $150 used. If you buy it on UK eBay it'll probably say shipping only to the UK. But contact the seller and tell them you'll pay for the shipping and have it picked up. Make sure they have box to put it in and that's the size of the bumper.

My source in Thailand tells me the UK bumper is hard for him to get. Very rare. Only options are the one i stated above and maybe www.sgpetch.co.uk. But good luck convincing them to help you ship one to you. I have not.

I doubt replacing your bumper will void your warranty.
