UGH! Rear wiper fell off...

Hi All,

Yesterday I went through the carwash, and my rear wiper fell off. Weird because I have been going through the same automatic carwash for about 6 months. Anyhow, it just popped right of the "arm". At first I didn't even care, because I am planning on putting on winter blades for the ice/snow season. But when I looked at the "arm" it seems to have some non-standard proprietary connector. If I buy a generic wiper assembly like "ANCO", will the adapter pieces work on the "3" rear arm?

TIA,
Will

No.

You have to get it from the dealer for like $27.

If you can go back to the car wash and find the blade, it is possible to get a refill in it but (last I checked) nobody made a whole wiper blade for it.

Found my old wiper!

sort of an update...
I figured the wiper got run over and smashed to bits inside the carwash. So I went to my Mazda dealer (who is literally 100 yards away from where I work). I would have forked over the twentysomething dollars, but the guy was befuddled by my request. When he finally figured out what I was talking about, he said the 3 is so new that they don't stock a lot of parts like that yet. On a whim I went to the carwash, but of course they were toothless and slackjawed. "We don't usually look inside there unless there is a problem" they said. WTF, if I owned it I would do a walk through at least once a day, either at start up or shut down to check for auto debris (or animals etc). As usual, I had to take matters into my own hands. So since it is one of those "unattended" types behind a gas station, I just walked through the friggin thing. And there it was just laying in the middle of the floor, in perfect condition. So I guess it was my lucky day, I am going to a couple of $10 scratch tickets with the money I saved.
But I still have to b****: what the hell was Mazda thinking when they designed the connection on the wiper?!?! It takes nearly ZERO pounds of force to pull the wiper off. Why they hell couldn't they use the same connection that nearly 95% of all cars already use. Stupid Bastards.
