Ugh. Another Mazda issue

So did you actually experience the issue or going by what your fiance said (need more detail)?

Do you know what kind of behavior the car exhibited right b4 it stalled (jerking, idling funny, lights going in/out)?
During the couple of seconds before restarting, are you able to use any electrical components in ACC? What happens when you try to crank it (starter turnig or not)?
Do you know car's history (hope it was not a flooded car or you are in store for more fun)?

Don't scare me with the flood!!! LOL I did a report on it before I bought it and it's good to go. I've personally never seen it happen, but she says the instrument lights, radio, and car itself just goes dead whenever she pulls up to a stop sign or stop light. Nothing at all works for about a minute or so, but definitely not longer than a minute. Then, it works perfectly fine after that. I guess the last time it happened was 4 or 5 days ago and since then, it's been running perfect. As for how the car acts before, she told me nothing really. Just pulled up to a stop and just dies when she's waiting. Definitely check out any type of grounding Bazooka. I know for sure it's not the battery connections. Just got done changing the freakin' thermostat yesterday so I definitely know the connections are tight.

If it was TB related- upon stalling, how would the TB prevent her from turning the key to ACC immediately to use the radio?

It seems electrical related. Perhaps something with the security system (immobilizer, aftermarket alarm), PCM, grounding (cable), or something cross wired. The quote you reference also pointed to a PCM reflash too so don’t forget that. I suppose it is possible that with an older PCM, upon detecting the stall, goes into a safe mode and prevents electrical from being used. A reflash to an updated version would fix that (my complete ASSumption on how a mechanical failure can lead to an electronic failure –sort of speak). I agree that soon a set of wrenches it not going to be enough and soft hacking will be a requirement to work on cars. Gone are days of carburetors and something that is not power assisted (or now 'smarter than you' power assisted) and centrally controlled by one computer -Hello world.

Given your history with Hondas, I think if you get to sit behind the wheel and experience it you'd probably have a better idea of what's going on than just posting on behalf of someone else's experience.

Definitely if I witnessed it, I'd have a better idea. I've been driving it lately especially today to go to my bro's house for Turkey day. Drove perfectly fine. It's just something I have NEVER EVER heard of unless it was a loose battery connection. Ugh! Let's see. Fixed the brake switch problem, thermostat problem, now the mystery shut down. Going to drive me nuts. haha
