...in a really ****** up way. i hadn't witnessned it personally, but my brother said they 'flipped out'. they are outdoor cats (pretty much strays that live in our shed outside, but we feed and take care of them and then are done weening off the mother, we give them away).

anyways, these two kittens were throwing up and shitting themselves like mad. first my mom saw one of them outside just laying kinda comatose in the grass. she gave one of them some milk and it just hurled it back up. then another one was by the shed, just staring at nothing. my mom put them in a box and brought them inside. my brother was watching them when one of them threw up all over and then started smacking its head into the wall repeatedly until it just finally...let go i guess.

so ******* wierd. my mom thinks someone poisoned them.
i feel so bad for them. oh well, just some stray cats right? : \

That sucks, dude. Go check around for antifreeze. Cats think it's sweet tasting.

cats coulda died from the cold.. thats what happened to my friends kitten.. thats why as much as my girl hates it.. my kitten sleeps in bed with us.. well usually on her chest.. kittens love boobs. -=\

i mean, thats not a normal way for an animal to die, correct?

who the **** would want to ever do that to a small, helpless animal. its ******* sick, i get sick...

I'm serious about the Antifreeze. If some spilled while an idiot neighbor was filling their car(first freeze of the year lately, right?), the cats would be attracted to it.

Hose that s*** down. :(

I'm sorry man. No they aren't just some stray cats, you guys were taking care of them with the hope of giving them to good homes. If someone poisoned them whether intentional or not it is horrible. But if it was intentional I hope that person suffers an equally painful death.

sorry to hear dude... they are strays, yes, but to see an animal suffer like... sorry to hear again - chris

may not have been someone doing it intentionally. I don't know about the environment you are in, but they could have gotten something off a bug, or a small animal they might have killed, or something like antifreeze. Hope you find the problem.

I'm sorry to hear that Dex... if anything happened to mine I would be just as sad (and she's a pampered indoor kitten).

It could have been some type of Virus... kittens need a lot of attention and shots...

-Fnny :(

DAMMIT PEOPLE READ MY POST!!!!

It was probably Parvo - a type of virus. It commonly does that and they usually die within 24 hours of showing symptoms!

Note to DEXTER -
If you have other cats, and you want them to live contact a vet immediately. You house and yard are contaminated!

You know what, Cirielle - you are absolutely correct. I forgot all about the effects of parvo. Good diagnosis. You have got to get these kittens their shots when they are scheduled. There is NO reversal for parvo if it is noticed too late.
