Twin Turbo Civic. Awesome.

Damn thats one hell of a long post. Thats a sweet job, I give him props on it. I bet that thing hauls pretty good now.

Matt

it's cool that he did it, a nice project. now we're going to get lots of "can i twin turbo my msp, i saw that a honda did it" threads

that thing sux!, has to be reved to 9 grand to make decent power(still makes bad trq though), the idea is cool, but a waste on a 4cyl IMO.

i think it was more of a do it just to do it project than one to actually make good power. hell, he used napa main bearings and rings :). twin turbos is a waste on a 4 cyl, i don't think anyone is going to argue that.

He updated his thread. He has the dyno on there. 280 hp...... no bad for slapping that thing together in a week!

Dave

Hey, they had 4 Cylinder Twin Turbos, the only difference is it was american made. Have you ever heard of the Movie "The Wraith" ? That car used a 2.2 Chrysler 4 Cyclinder twin turbo set up of a Daytona and made 440 HP if I can remember. IF you look on the internet it is a Dodge Interseptor, Only one made in the world, was a pace car. Pretty sweet if you ask me, Rear Wheel Drive. Oh it also used the head of a Lotus to make it twin cam. Sweet ride check the pics. (2thumbs)

thats pimpage...i luv slap to gether projects lol.....i helped a buddy slap together a motor for his civic from 2 b18b engines...a b16a and a old turbo b18c that coughed up a rod......took us about 2 days but we ened up with a t3-t4 turbo la/vtec with a gsr tranny and lsd from the b16a tranny lol......it was weird.....throwin that frankenstien together......(headbang)

thats a great project..all interstate power..more of a "hey look what i can do" project as opposed to a project for actual gains.

i dont think cost was an issue since he said with all his hookups he spent a total of 750 on the entire setup so thats not bad for TT custom setup. even if done with all low end parts.

Also the only thing I dont like is yes his site says dyno'd at 285whp or somethin but it says @8-12psi, well which is it, did he make 285 on 8 or 12psi cause one is hella more impressive than the other.

Im assuming 12 since he said his single turbo at 12psi put about the same numbers down.

maybe 1 turbo was making 8, 1 was making 12? or maybe it peaked at 12 and trailed off to 8 by redline?
