2002 Protege5 !?STOCK?! T.T
I work at Advance Auto Parts and everyday I have to answer the question of which wax is the best when really it's just personal preference (I prefer Meguiar's products). A few months ago we started carrying these new Turtle Wax ICE products. "Can be applied in the sun and leaves no white residue!" I thought hey that's interesting. But since I've got a TON of car care products already I passed on picking some up. Well I decided it was time to clay bar the car (first time in 5 yrs) and picked up the liquid clay. Well this is what I have to say about it...THIS s*** IS COMPLETELY USELESS AND A COMPLETE WASTE OF MY HARD EARNED MONEY. Do not buy this junk. It does leave a white residue and my paint is still just as stained dammit. I called Turtle Wax this morning to let them know that I would not be recommending this product any longer. STICK TO THE REAL STUFF LIKE I SHOULD'VE. Well I'm on my way to defect this stuff out and get the real bar. Cheers

i havent used the wax or clay bar of the ICE, but i used the spray detailer and i like the results, if what you say is true ill make sure not to buy The ICE when i claybar and wax my pro5 here pretty soon.

my brother swears by it! he just di 3 coats on his h3...he loves it! i told him it probably won't last very long though?

if you follow the "directions" on the back of the bottle, it works fine - no residue on my car

I have never had residue on mine as well. I mean it isn't even white? I don't get that.

the only way i can see you getting "residue" from the liquid clay stuff is if you don't rinse it off

Yeah I was talking about the clear wax. The liquid bar is foamy but yeah rinse it off. I usually wash, then when the car is still wet apply the liquid clay bar, rinse then dry and apply liquid wax. And everything gets done very quickly which I love.

i used the liquid polish and detailer. oh and i use the car wash. i like the car wash, i like the detailer, but the polish is a waste of time. because you cant realy tell (at least on silver) that the car has dried to a haze. i prefer mothers carnuba wax. works great and i love the shine. ill prolly use the liquid wax stuff as an in between serious waxes.

i dont recommend ICE polish, and id rather use regular clay bar anyway.

I have always sworn by mcguiars.. until I used turtle wax ice. This wax has lasted longer ( a month and a half now) than ANY other wax ive used. it went on so fast and came off just as easy I really didnt expect it to last this long.

you know, i have always been impressed with turtle wax products - when you take into account price, too. not that there are better products out there, but just my opinion

I don't get it. People spend hundreds if not thousands of dollars for aftermarket products. Yet when it comes to the price of exterior/interior car care products, people won't spend the extra $10? Ya'll crazy.

Hellz yeah. I can't vouch for the liquid polish or detailer but the liquid clay was just not up to par. I went back and got the Meguiar's clay kit. I'm happy with that.
