Turn signal flasher

I just picked up some LED turn signal bulbs which is resulting in a fast flash. I'd like to replace the flasher relay with an electronic flasher, but I'm having trouble finding it. At first I was trying to just follow the sound, but that led me to a round black piece that appears soldered onto the back of the instrument cluster circuit board. Is this the flasher, or is there a replaceable relay elsewhere that and this is just for making the sound? I would like to avoid having to buy resistors for each turn signal bulb I replace.

After some googling it appears that the flasher is embedded on the instrument cluster PCB. Looks like my only option is resistors. Sucks.

i ran resistors in my protege. its not as big of a deal as you might think. get the right ones, and you only need one per side, instead of one per bulb. i tapped the wires in the back of the trunk, behind the lights, and mounted the resistors to the strut towers up out of the way. if you didn't crawl into the trunk, you'd never know they were there.
