tryin to install my knocklite- anyone know of the best place i can screw my bosch knock sensor into the block for the best readings? thanks

why do you need a knock light on a car thats ECU controls the timing and timing retard? unless your doing something to advance the timing...

because the factory knock sensor doesnt detect all audible knock, and when you start raising boost and putting after market parts on its good to know when your car is knocking..

your car knocks and the ecu pulls timing... are u being told this?? no.. its good to know what your car is doing

but its kinda like overboost... the map sensor reads that the car is overboost, and cuts the power... its an automatic thing... just like the knock sensor detecting knock and pulling timing...

sorry, im just used to having an audi, we had a program made my Ross-Tech, called vag-com, that could tell us how much timing was being pulled on each cylinder, and how much timing was being advanced to begin with... among many other things
