restart your ecu, turn the cap to 1/4th inch away from the base, tighten the top nub on the cap where your boost line attaches, drive softly, out of any high boost or wot for 100 miles. then have fun in that setting for a while. if you notice backfire, tighten the spring 1/4 turn, drive around, still backfires do the same thing etc until you JUST get rid of backfire/popping at low rpm, when you're there drive around more and more, and then tighten it one more 1/4th inch and your spring will have settled and you will have the best performance for safety ratio on the distance. after that, measure the mm of distance away from the cap, and whenever you clean it, you can just turn it back to that setting even a couple more mm to let the spring resettle. i readjust my TS every new mod i get.
