Speaking of which...the last issue of Sport Compact Car said that Mazda will have a direct-injection gasoline engine by 2008. What the hell is with being out of the loop?

Thy already do have one and it's in the Mazdaspeed 6. ...2.3L D.I. Turbo putting out more HP then this Honda.

I've driven many different BMW models and the X3 is not up to par in my opinion. The interior is cheaper looking and feeling than the other models and the I don't like the outside either. The X5 looks and feels like a BMW, I think the X3 is cheepened.
