turbo timer question

I just had an Apexi timer installed and something odd is happening. The A/F portion of the display shows only ----. If i get in and start the car and immediatly shut it off the timer works fine. If I actually drive it, when i shut it off it just doesnt work. It counts down, but the car shuts off. I search and found a few wiring diagrams but not for the apexi. Any suggestions on what to look for?

Do you need to have the parking brake on to keep the car running? I know on my HKS you need to pull the brake up. Check the wiring and is your TT hooked up to the o2 sensor?

Your turbo timer has an O2 sensor display?

yeah O2, A/F, battery voltage and countdown timer. I found a the wiring guide on Apexi's website and the troubleshooting guide says the AF will display --- if the wire to the O2 sensor isnt hooked up. Anyone know what wire this would be? the rest of the install instructions is in chinese lucky me.

Ok let me amend this since i just got home from work and could actually look at everything. The moron that installed it did not hook the O2 wire to anything, nor the wire to the parking brake. Anyone know where i need to splice these wires to?

the wire for the parking brake goes to the parking brake wire, which is right at the parking brake

what about the white wire for the O2 sensor?

I found another thread that decsribed my problem perfect. Sometimes it works, but it feels like it almost stalls then comes back to idle and counts down...other tiems it just shuts off. In the other thread wires were crossed so i am going to check that

O2 = Pink wire with the Blue stripe. At the ECU this is wire #60

werd, just pop off the plastic cover that goes around the handle, and peer in there and I think it is within view just like that.

You dont have to connect the parking brake wire to the parking brake. It is just a safety feature so that the car does not roll away while it is running. If you want to you can just ground the parking brake wire out, that what I did on my TT i didn't feel like hooking it up to the P brake so the diagram said I could just ground it out.

Yea straight into something lol.....I suggest locking the vehicle before you walk away from it.

i got your email and replied, let me know if I can help more, i love my APEXi tt, installed it with little to no difficulty, ok a little, but everything worked great and has since then, the a/f ratio isnt extremely prescise but it gives you a ballpark figure of how rich the msp is. sorry to thread jack, but i just got mine flashed and i can tell a difference, i am not sure whether i like it or not, but it has only been two days, need to play in car more. anybody else flashed?
