Yes you can. A lot of people have done it in all Protege's. The best thing to do is get it tuned right after. On stock blocks, people have gone from 6 to 12 psi tuned and have gotten nice numbers. I would go for the Hiboost Turbo Kit or if you want cheaper, find the MSP one and get some kind of EMS for it quick because the hesitation sucks.
Sure can, search the for sale forum for some MSP setups for sale. Stock motor can safely handle up to about 10psi with an FMU. Would be enough to get you in the range of 200-240whp based on supporting mods.
