I will post more pics in the near future, The car is driving daily and runs great. It goes into boost real smooth and feels almost like a factory turbo system. Only prolem I am having is idle problems......I need to install more check valves, to trick the computer. I saw a fellow MP3er yesterday in my area, I pulled up next to him and shifted right next to his window, so he could hear my BOV.....he just looked at my car like, whats up with this dudes car?

Serously, I would like everyone too know that CHDESIGN, has awnsered many questions for me, we have swapped info and he has been a life saver.
I have prevous knowledege with other turbo cars, but pro's have there whole new set of problems and obstacles..............thanks CH you da man!!!

Spoolin...ummm nice engine pic but their is something a bit different about your engine...is it the air filter...or did you shine up the valve cover...hmmm...LOL....no its a badass turbo system...wow...very nice.
Do you know...or can you estimate your 0-60, 1/4 mile and top speed #'s at this point?

yea i wish i had more knowledge on turbo's too. im gonna start doin some research so when time comes i would like to attempt the turbo install myself. im gonna go buy that corky bell book. ive already learned so much from this forum alone. CHdesign i give you credit for all the 2.0l turbo info too. i just like the fact that spoolin has an mp3 and has been on this forum for a long time. i remeber when he first posted about building a turbo an no one belived him! Thanks to the both of you keep up the good work! and keep sharin your knowledge
If you're looking to learn a little something on your own, I recommend buying Maximum Boost by Corky Bell. He explains some of the confusing terms and theories of turbo vehicles. I thought I had enough knowledge to hold a good conversation with a Turbo Tech guy, but once I read a couple of chapters of that book. I realized how much more there is to know. I think I've read it about 3 times now. One thing is for sure though. When I do decide to turbo this car or any other car. I'll know what to watch out for. Sucky thing is that you can read all you want, but nothing beats hands on experience. I can't wait to get my hands dirty.
I had planned on buying that book and just haven't got around to it yet. One question tho...is the book written more for automotive mechanics....someone who already has indepth understanding of cars....or is it more written for the average joe....the one who knows about cars but isn't necessarily a mechanical guru?

That is the sh!t!! Unfortunately I have a 1.6L. I was thinking of trying to turbo it or just say to hell with it and get the fs ze 2.0 motor and turbo it. Whats everyones opinions. I am a fan of the motor swap but if I could actually find parts for the 1.6 and be able to pump some real power out of it that'd be good too. By the way I'm sure as you'll notice I'm new to you site.
