After driving(drive) my car today. I was checking out under the hood .
Noticed a small oil stain(nailbyt) right where the oil lines go into the turbo.
isn't there 2 o-rings there that you can replace.
Does not seem to effect the car but want to clean it up as well !!!!!

replacing the o-ring is easy. i searched through past threads and found instructions including a part number.

i tried doing that cause i need new o rings as well but i couldnt find the topic with the part number

Reason I am looking to clean it up . Have plans for a cleaning and engine make over,
as i have plenty mods for it !!!!!! want to also clean up the engine bay and really add some looks and polish to the engine. So want to replace the rings, as i will already be removing it for the 3" Exhaust and Ex-Mani replacment !!
So if any body could help it would be great,
I know with all these zoom-heads here, that sombody already knows this

This is great info, I just developed this problem on my 60k+ MSP: slight drip with a burnt oil smell when stopped. The pics in the links that oldzoomer provided are great, but I'm not quite sure where these O-rings (and the gasket) are installed from looking at them. Any additional guidance would be most appeciated.

thank you

well just to let you guys know, ordered these from my local dealer today !!!
ordered both the o-ring and the metal gasket ,actually ordered 2 sets
costed me like 14 bucks and they are shipping them to me ups no charge !!!!
drove a 2010 speed 3 today, while I was there ,very impressive.

Help! Mazdaspeed pro 2003

I've had my check engine light cycling on and off, then hard on again. I've reset it numerous times in the last few months and it keeps coming back on. I took it to the dealer last week ($201) and they said it was a vacuum leak, replaced a hose, and wala...it came back on that evening. Now, the dealership nut is telling me they're not sure what it is and to bring it back in. They also informed me that the turbo is leaking oil (oh, and they would replace it for about $3,000). The car only has 70K on it, runs great, even with the CEL on, with the exception of rough idle at times. When in neutral, it will drop RPMs to about 200, then go back up to 6-800, normalize, then drop down again. Any thoughts as to what is causing the idle and CEL issue? Obviously the blood sucking dealership has no clue and I'm afraid to take it back.

when you say you are resetting the cel ,how are you doing this .give us more info on the car what mods ex.
