Turbo noise when engine cold

Mine has done that since brand new. Kind of a higher pitched sound that increases in pitch up to about 2500 rpm. It goes away when warmed up. We've got 37,500 miles on the car so far and the turbo still works just fine.

Thanks for the info. I have no time to go to the mec. Same with my when warm then no noise.

Whine noise

Just recently, at 48k miles, and after 15k of overheating when turned off (heat soak to 248 deg)(turbo bright orange), I can start the car in cold weather, say 25 deg's, and sometimes, not always, get a high pitched whine for about 10 seconds. Sounds like a noise a bad bearing would make.

The overheat issue is now fixed, it was the fan modules.

going to Mazda Dealer tomorrow see what they say. The noise got worst. I hope they can fix it quickly they don't offer a loner car any more, something about the, warranty changed.(rant)

Turbo noise

Let me know what the Dealer says?

I've isolated my noise to after not run for two days, then start and I get that whine for 10 sec. Doesn't do it if ran recently. Maybe it's because the oil drains out of turbo area? I'm going to record it and then go to dealer also.

I checked with a truck turbo shop and they think its turbo bearing going out.

Yes you are right. They Just called me and they will replace the turbo under warranty right now I have 27500 miles chenge oil every 5000 and use mobil 1
I think I will start every 3000.

the noise started first when the car was cold, then all the time while driving.
Yesterday there was a different noise while under heavy acceleration. More like rattling.
