Turbo Manifolds

Hey guys,

I am just curious if it is worth while to upgrade the turbo manifold? Do you notice the gains in performance etc?

Any feed back will be appreciated.

I don't have one but what I hear from others that do is that you gain mid range power. Even more with a pro tune of course. Perfect for daily driving I think. Could be my next mod.

Great gains come from an upgraded manifold, when you get the stock one off you can see exactly why. But, if you're not already fully bolted, I would focus on other things, such as a downpipe, IC, tune, intake/inlet, etc. If you're already fully bolted, like I was when I first installed one, you will feel a difference. Much more mid range torque.

By the way, the install is a son of a b****, especially if you've never been back there before. Just a warning, you need a good variety of tools and maybe another pair of hands.

Installed PG v3 manifold some months ago. The first impression was more solid and even exhaust :) Then, after driving it a bit, have realized that car seems to be more responsive. 2 days I haven't gone WOT just for the case fuel trims to relearn :) then I did it and I can state that the time to get to full boost decreases. I did some dashhawk logs after install, and really have seen boost is coming up quicker and it's level is 16.5 psi instead of 16 psi previously (no tune on me so far).
I can't say that was my most mod, I was much more happier when installed catless downpipe, CPE inlet and intake at once :) But I really feeled it gave me extra power and I saw it on logs. People with bolt-on turbocharger upgrades would feel even more I believe.
About stock manifold - it is not so bad by the way. Despite the fact it is too heavy - it is not so bad. And it has flex section!
One thing to note - when trying to install manifold, studs didn't want to go in. I had to mill a bit 4 holes on manifold because studs were getting clipped and I couldn't put them in by full length. That was the only drawback with PG.
