My stock turbo is leaking out of the compressor side. I was wondering what turbo would be the best replacement, meaning it'll all bolt up like stock. And also just to know, can you get them rebuilt? if so where, and is it worth rebuilding or getting a new turbo. Thanks for everyones help.

Leaking what? Air/water/oil?

oil seal is blown. you can rebuild it if you want. Is this the stock turbo? High oil pressure is the usual cause for this. If you replace the turbo make sure to use an oil restictor on the inlet to help prevent this from happening again.

they dont have one already??

No i think the cause was compressor surge, ive only got 48k on it, Jesus christ!

But anyway still looking to see what the direct replacement turbo is, meaning bolts up like stock.

when mine blows up.. it s gonna be less of a problem to buy one new than trying to get it rebuiilt.

send it to MPI Nick for reworking
Yep, mine never blew but I did get Nick to mod mine at 103k miles.
He can port/polish the manifold, port/polish the turbo, port/polish the s-pipe, add GT28 wheel/wheels and then he ceramic coats all of it.
I love mine. Well I will love mine again after I rebuild. I broke an oil ring in one cylinder after 120k miles and upwards of 20PSI.
Held up very well for 4.5 years.
At one time it was about $650.00 for everything. I paid even less but it was a long time ago.

how is your manifold holding up and how many miles did you put on it after it was ported and polished? it seems like a ton of ppl have manifolds that crack, wouldnt porting/polishing them make the manifold even thinner and even more prone to cracking? just curious

So youre also saying that he can port and polish the turbo and rebuild it for around $650?

Yes, this was all one package.
My manifold is great as is Apoc's and Moeed's.
They have all had the same treatment and they are all daily drivers with many tens of thousands of miles on them.

and also whats mpi nicks screenname, i tried messaging him as mpinick and mpi_nick and it said he didnt exist.
