Turbo Is Gone....

ok so my dealership called me today. they are saying that my car is modified so they aren't going to warranty it. They say that there is an oil leak externally on the turbo. he says it looks like the motor was ran with no oil then someone put oil in(didn't happen the turbo has been smoking so i kept putting oil in until my next change), They are complaining about the mount saying that i am using it for racing purposes, which he thinks i'm doing because my tires are bald....... He didn't believe me when i told him that my turbo was smoking i told him that there are alot of 07's that are doing this he said he hasn't seen them. I called mazda and maid a complaint and now all i can do is pray they fix it.

The dealership is insisting you are using your car for racing purposes because you have a stronger rear motor mount?

s*** my tires were bold after about 9000 miles hope they aren't assuming s*** about me to.
 
Take this to Mazda USA ASAP and save EVERYTHING that you get in regards to the car. Even a notebook with documented times that you spoke with the dealership can help. If you're only mod is the rear motor mount (and Mazda obviously knows they were bad as there was a recall) then you should have no problem getting warranty to cover it. I'm really sorry you're in this situation, good luck and document everything!
 
yeai think its the dealer tho! they(fitzgerald) put a motor in mine and i have a after market mount in mine and the didnt ask any ?s jsut what happened and that was all i herd about it!

just do what u can and make them fix it! u will get some where

wrong motor mount budy the rear isn't the recall mount the trans is the recall mount.
 
tht sucks ass man sorry but my wastgate is makin a loud sucking noise im thinkin its the wastgate it might be the turbo its a 03 protege mspd with 86500 miles any idea what goin on

yeah usually all that happens is they call the dealership and ask them about the car and then the dealer gets pissed that you did that. what you should do in this situation is take the car into another dealer and tell them what is happening and then call Mazda.

If you need an engine give us a call we can probably get you a better deal than the dealer will.
 
dude that sucks really bad... look @ it this way... you can save to get a forged engine and really nasty turbo and destroy pretty much anything in your path.
 
I don't know I have to call them when I get off of work. This is making me wanna trade my ****** car in and get something else.

Damn dude am really sorry to hear thats the treatment ur getting from ur dealer..but that's one of the reason why am not doing any more mods on my car..i did the cobb intake and the rear mount and i'll be damn if they tell me that that cause any major engine problem..
i already think i'm having a slight connecting rod bearing problem..before i did my firts oil change at 2700miles i was already down to about half way level on the dipstick..to me that shouldnt be normal on a brand new car turbo or non turbo..plus when i start up my car in the morning i hear like a funny bearing noise..a grrrrrr sound for like a quick 2 seconds..if u guys know engines especially turbo engines these things u should pay attention to..so this weekend again am gonna check my level to see where it and if its down on the stick am taking her in..

This car is fast and everything but too many lil issues popping up here and there for the cars been fairly new...i only have 3000 miles on her now..

It might be a problem. This is my first turbo car and my first mazda. Lil things like that I would ask my buddies and they would say don't worry about it. I'll just ask on here from now on because most of the people on here know what they are talking about

If you hadn't gone through the whole Mazda NA part already that is what you should have done because Moss Magnuson clearly would have covered you for warranty default over a motor mount and bald tires (maybe your tires are bald because your cheap they don't know) now your kind of screwed sadly. I worked for a dealership for a long time I know how to play that game. A different dealership tried not to warranty my trans because my truck was dirty and they said I was off-roading it but it was because I lived in a new subdivision so there was dirt and dust everywhere which turns to mud in rain go figure. Well I fought the hell out of that one and got a new trans then 5k miles later it shot out again and at that point I had an exhaust on it so they said that was the cause and I fought and won again, turned out dumbshits didn't flush the cooler so there was still burnt fluid in it.
 
well this is not my first turbo car so i know about this stuff..i had a turbo supra before fully moded ..3in exhaust from turbo back..bigger injectors fcon,bvp u name it..and i'll tell anyone this, talk about spining bearings this car was famous for that especially if ur boosting over 15lbs.
i also was a mechanic for 8yrs working on turbo cars..so am monitoring this baby..am paying enough money ready for this car, for them to hand me some bulls*** if the car breaks and its not my fault and not wanting to warranty it..
