Okay, I am on the hunt for forced induction and recently read a thread about SpoolinMp3's "starter kit". For $1500 seems like a helluva deal compared to my other running favorite, the Tripoint setup.

Since I am lacking of turbo knowhow, what makes the Spoolin kit so great of a bargain (intercooler?) and what would I be missing in comparison to the other kits out there?

What route are other people going?

That $1500 kit is not a turbo kit...
youll be missing a lot..lol..if its just the intercooler...youll be missing the turbocharger...
the BEGI uses a Garett T3, really reliable street turbo...
the plumbing, intake manifold..too many things too mention consist of a turbo kit..im not sure what completely compromises the starter kit of, but it wont work...
wshades, step in here, youre the master of this domain right now for our car

no no no, i am sorry to confuse ya there...i meant that there was NO intercooler in the kit. SpoolinMp3's kit consists of a Garrett Turbo (t28 i think), the manifold and the oil lines/returns.

That manifold looks sweet, and I've read enough about it to know its worth every penny. What I really want to know is, why the heck would I even consider $4000 on the Tripoint deal when Spoolin is offering this kit for $1500? What would I be missing out on, or would I need to add to Spoolin's kit and what would it overall run me?

downpipe, intercooler, couplings, FMU, boost controller, BOV, piping, guages

Pretty much the spoolin kit you get oil lines, turbo, and a manifold =)
