Tuning

I have been thinking of fine tuning my 03 msp. The car is stock with no mods. Been thinking of taking my first step and dyno tuning it. I've been told that its best to do that as a first step. From then, the tuner can advise me on what else can help, as in fuel control system...etc
I needed to get some feedback from anyone who has done any tuning and whether you'd advise to only tune the fuel mix first, then consider tuning and increasing boost......
Not looking for a rocket ship here or a 1/4 mile car, just looking for some real world gains that i can feel and enjoy while driving
thanks

well if you are going to do any bolt ons i'd do those first, no sense on tuning the car 10x

Intake, exhaust and FMIC/SMIC @10psi should consistantly put a smile on your face, then an AFC to reach those mods' full potential.

so you're saying, get those basic mods and head over to the shop......
Can you advise me on an exhaust setup that will not blow my eardrums off.....
The guy before me put on a big can muffler and thought it sounded nice and deep, the resonation inside the car drove me nuts, along with whomever was in my car. Do you know of any setup that has a free flowing muffler like the mazdaspeed one that isn't loud?
I have no second car or resonator on mine with the original mazdaspeed muffler and its got a nice hum inside the car that is sufficient to stir my senses.
All your feedback is much appreciated........thanks

I have the GHL dp and stock muffler with no resonator. It does not drum at all. There is noticable pickup and sounds healthy not ricey. With that I'd recommend either the Corksport dp or obviously I'm partial to the GHL.

Oh yeah, and check here

Checked out the GHL, it was over 600 bucks. wow, didn't expect that. I was looking at the apex a while back, don't know much about the corksport either.
