Tune Up

:
2008 Mazdaspeed 3
I'm coming up on 30K miles, beside changing my oil I wanna do a tune-up, new plugs, freshen up the trans fliud, clean the K&N....the usuall stuff.

What I can't find is a fuel filter:wtf: All the parts books in the auot parts stores say that is a N/S ( nonservicelable item ) meaning its in tank and can't be changed. :bs: Do I have to take it to Mazda to get the fuel filter changed ? Or can I purchase it and doi it myself.

Also what are the best plugs to upgrade to ?

Your dealer should have it.

Don't you change the coolant at 30k? Also check the A/C crap. Look over all the rubber stuff to make sure it's not cracked and check your breaks and tires.

i think its pretty early to change the fuel filter. unless you are having problems of some sort.

i thought modern fuel filters can last a looong time.

i dont even think its in the schedualed mantinance.

Our fuel filters are good up to 100k, and IIRC in the fuel tank. I remember my old FS-03 had one in the engine bay though, but I looked around and didn't see one on the P5.

well after the Tune up I am goingt to do a full all around brake job. new rotors, slotted or drilled and new pads prollyHawk or EBC greenstuff, and braided lines.
