so ive been trying for the past month to get cut. ive been running about 6 times amonth for around 30min. i have also tried to cut out carbs as much as possible. I havent seen the results i would like in getting my abs out, so is this low carb diet worth it. I do situps and pushups everyday and work out with weights like 3 times a week. a friend told me about this http://www.hydroxycut.com/ and i dont know if its worth it. let me know what u guys think

before i got pnemonia real bad. i was taking that to help with my appitite and then working out every night.. and taking some s*** called yohimbee when i worked out.. worked really well but yohimbee will make u very moody. -=P

i took xenadrine before. all it did was make me not be able to sleep. if you want to get definition in your abs, you need to do cardio at least 3-4 times/week and some good ab workouts. i do 5-10 mins of abs/day, but i also should do one big ab day per week but i don't yet. diet and cardio are what is really needed if you want to get cut up. hydroxycut or similar stuff works for some people, it didn't do anything for me though. it'll take a little while to see results, it depends a lot on your body

I have a question.
When at the gym, should I be doing heavy weights at low reps (around 6 reps)? or doing less weights but do somethign like 10-12 reps?

Thanks

heavy weight with low reps will make you stronger. so if you like power lifting and lifting lots of weight one time, that is the way to go. Body builders going for the cut look do lots of reps.

It's all about losing pretty much a lot of your fat. Doing ab exercises will help but you have to concentrate more on just losing the fat around it, and working out the abs doesn't really burn any calories.

Do low intensity cardio (60-70% of max heart rate) to make sure you burn more fat calories. Do cardio more often in the week, like jred said. Alternate the exercises by type and what your heart is doing - one day do 60-70%, another go to 80%, another keep going up and down 80 to 60 to 80... - this will keep it interesting and will give you something to look at, that is your heart rate. Plus, the body needs to see change, or else it will just adapt to whatever you are doing.

Don't eat too many carbs before and do low intensity cardio on an empty stomach. You want to get rid of the stubborn fat, and that only goes if you're not demanding a lot of quick energy from your body and don't have that quick energy ready on store.

Yeah, that's what I was thinking. I know some places in the city where you can be cut pretty damn quick. The only factor is what you say.

i worked out and took hydroxy cut for about 4 months.. i took hydroxy cut 3 times a day, yohimbee once a day and worked out 5 days a week..
i went from 6'0 230 down to 6'0 195.. i was lookin pretty good. i gottah get back in there now and get all this fat off. -=P

My goals are to be cut (muscles defined), like, skinny, but you can see all the muscles (kinda ala bruce lee style). I dont' think I need to lose much more weight, cuz i'm 5"7 and I weight around 128 lbs.

Right now, I'm just trying to see what type of weight/reps I should be doing to achieve my goal.

if i were you i'd just put on muscle. i'm 5'8" and weigh like 185, so just take lots of protein and pack on the pounds. i'd go for like 8 reps/set if i were you. to be like bruce lee though it's just lots of cardio, not a whole lot of strength lifting. probably some light weights but lots of cardio

if u want to get deffined and not build mass.. do high repititons of lower weight..
if u want to build mass then do low repitions of high weight..

hydroxycut just gave me the shakes. im pretty sure its mostly caffeine and it also never lets you be hungry which is probably why people lose weight with it. also if you take watch your heart rate, my resting heart rate was about 15 beats per minute faster when i was on it.

also if your only running like 6 times a month you won't get cut. start running about 5 times a week for at least 45 minutes and the fat will start coming off. It takes about 45 minutes of cardio for you to get into your body;s fat reserves.

also dont worry about carbs if your doing that much excercise, the excercise should take care of it, but eliminating bad carbs sure wont hurt at all.

I was on hydroycut and now i am off of it....makes you emotionally unstable....i just started taking creatine and holy s***....my bench shot up about 85 pds....i do 315 for reps....3 sets of 8....194 pds....But so far as the abs go, running and knee ups....it always works...

You can still be skinny and strong. In highschool I was 6'0 150 pounds and competed in the light weight division of powerlifting. Still benched 240, squat 375, deadlift 450. Just aim to get stronger and you'll develope well.
