Troubleshooting: Door Lock

I have a 2001 Protege.

The passenger door lock won't go up and down like the others. I can hear the motor working, but it can only be locked or unlocked manually.

Any ideas?

the motor is likely broken, when I bought my car my right rear pass door did that, I removed the motor, took in apart to see the plastic pieces all chewed up. You my friend need a new power door lock motor.

I can't seem to find one online, is this one of those parts I have to get at the dealer? How much was yours?

Miata Power Door locks

I have a 2001 Miata. The key fob and driver door push button locks and unlocks the passenger door. It does nothing to the driver door lock. No noise. No movement. What is the problem? Need new door lock motor?
