Trouble starting

I see what your saying about over doing it with the seafoam. I don't plan on doing it often, but im wondering if it might help easy my rough starts.
When you put it in the fuel did you notice any difference?

not really...i figure adding it to a full tank is more of a preventive maintenance item than it is a cleaning, just because it's only 1 pint in a 14.5 gallon tank so that's like 1:116 ratio. whereas pouring 1/3 of that directly into the firing cylinders is a lot more seafoam than fuel.

don't know if you know anything about pools, but there's a difference in chlorine levels when you're just maintaining it and when a kid decides to take a s*** in it so you have to shock the pool with a huge dose of chlorine. then ppl can't swim in it again for a couple hours. i love analogies

cleaned my MAF today. It was dirty. Tried to do the seafoam int the tank but i didn't have a funnel that fit, and by the time i realized this it was too late to run to the store and get one. Gonna try the seafoam tomorrow i guess. We will see how it starts over the next week.

No, it is less common then it was after a tank of seafoam and cleaning the maf, but it still starts a little funky sometimes.

As long as its not a symptom of a larger issue im ok with it. If the engine is just funny that way and it won't hurt the car long term then i can live with it.

PS Anyone else having this issue find anything?

what i found was that on cold startup first thing in the morning if i blip the thottle right as the engine turns over it doens't idle high like it would in order to help warm things up quicker. it actually returns to normal idle rpm right away. i tested this several times over a week and it worked every time.

im not going to continue doing this because quick engine warmup is important during cold start.

off topic but my TPMS is starting to go a little crazy. after a couple long trips it goes off a little before i reach my destination, say about 30 miles away. of course the pressures are just fine, higher from the heat of the drive, but both sets had equal pressures. then of course after sitting for a while and starting back up again it goes away
