Tri-Point turbo kit!

Everybody see that Tri-Point now offers a very well engineered turbo kit for the 3? I'm in love. I think this has changed my plans for future car purchases. I'm hoping to get this kit early next year. I had planned on getting a new performance car to be my toy car and occasional track day car, and leaving my 3 unboosted as my daily commuter (I get great mileage with it). However, this development, and the fact that I love the hatch version of the new Fiesta, have changed my mind. I'd also feel a lot better about totalling a paid off $20,000 Mazda3 (not including mods) than a brand new Mustang, Evo, or RX-#. And my wife could drive the Fiesta (with PowerShift transmission) to work on the days I work from home, making it a great commuter car.

Hey man, just wondering if you have the 2.0 or the 2.3 and Auto or Manual? I'm kinda at the warranty expiration point, and I wanna do some forced induction too!

I have the 2.3L with manual transmission. This particular kit is not tuned for the 2.0L, but the hardware will bolt up. You would have to find a tuning solution, though, so a different kit might be better for you.

I don't think the articles are online, yet. They were in the August and September issues, and I think they wait a while before putting them online to give people incentive to buy the magazine.

I am seriously considering this kit and moving out of STS next year. I'm undecided, though. If I were to get a kit, this would be it.
