Transmission vibration issue (2010 CX-9)

Hi everyone :) first of all sorry for my bad english ..

I just bought my new! 2010 with very low price and i changed everything what i could... But what i cant figure out is the vibration .

It comes only by low rpm in a high speed, before changing the speed. For example by 40kmh/5th speed. When it change to 4th speed and higher rpm everything is fine.

Thank you for your help.

Welcome.

It sounds like the torque converter. It's a fairly common issue with many Aisin transmissions. Many have some luck with a shudder fix additive poured into the transmission. Some report new spark plugs have helped.

For mine, I did 2 red tubes of the Shudder Fix, and cleaned the throttle body. It helped a lot.

To test, when it happens, move the shift lever to manual mode. That should disengage the torque converter.

Thank you for the fast asnswer

What do you recommend? Change the transmission fluid and but the shudder fix , or the fliud change can demage ?

I dont know if bevore ever was changed the fliud.

I would do 4 drain and fills over the course of a few thousand miles (km). You should be able to find more details on this specific transmission online.

You'll drain the old fluid, and replace it. Drive for several hundred miles before the next change. Do that 4 times. You can add a tube of Shudder Fix after each drain and fill if you wish.

These are similar transmissions to the TF80-SC used in many Volvos of the same vintage. They are good, but do need frequent maintenance. Torque converters are the weak part.

My 2008 has a dipstick. I'm not sure if 2010 does.

Another possibility is misfire.
My wife's old 09 CX9 had a shudder at highway speeds under load.
Only seemed to happen when the torque converter was locked up, so I thought it was for sure the torque converter slipping.

I was able to monitor misfires and found that the shudder would cause misfire count to increase on a few of the front cylinders. Never set an engine light.

I changed the front 3 plugs (cylinders 4, 5 and 6) and all was well again for as long as we owned the vehicle after that (~30k miles).

Hi. Thank you for help again. I bought 2 shuder fix for some month. I was a bit ( alot) sceptic 😀 i just put one bottle in and immediatly was everything fine. No vibration. You know aproximatly how long will can help? And should i put the second bottle too? Do not damage anything?
