Can anyone tell me how do u know, if u r having either transmission or electrical problems? I just want to know what to look out for, besides when it dies.

When trying to find stuff to look for, if you haven't narrowed the a specific probem down to it's source, it could be anything from a major electrical problem down to just needing to replace a fuse. Was there something specific you are asking about? Best bet is to call you local dealership and ask to speak to someone in the service department. When you talk to them, ask if their have been any recalls for you car. You can also call Mazda themselves. ;)

Is it normal when u start the car in the morning(cold start) for the engine to rev?

I also noticed that this car doesn't change gears to well when stopping or slowing then going again. It lunges forward and the transmission doesn't sound good when that happens. It sound as if it's being slammed.

There is a delay in response when I push on the gas for the car to go. One time I was driving with a passenger and I pushed on the gas pedal just a little bit. The car didn't do anything for, I'm guessing 1 - 3 seconds and then it just took off (accelerated really fast). As if I had floored the gas pedal. My passenger asked me why did i do that, I had no explanation. I believed it shifted from 4th to 2nd and all I wanted it to do was shift down to 3rd.

It no longer performed well at highway speeds. It was drinking so much gas that it would go 50 miles one way doing about 75 or less and drink almost half the gas tank. I didn't have that problem at speeds lower than 65 mph. Therefore I change the air filter and put fuel system cleaner in it and it seemed to work, but the rough shifting is still there.

For the delay, I took off the first section of the air intake system and it responds better now, but still having problem with shifting.

I also used to drive where I needed to use the high beams and the light appeared to dim. I figured it was my imagination since my passenger did noticed it.

Sorry, man, sounds like you have an auto transmission, all MP3s are stick, you probably won't find many people with the same problem on this site.

Try having the Transmission fluid changed.

I was going to do that, but the auto dealer guy told me not to. Leave everything as is and make documentation for two-weeks and record when it happens. Now I have to put back that air flow system piece, awh man.

Another thing, it's hard starting. And it is happening more and more frequently. I'm afraid that it won't start one day.
