The trans went out and locked in 2nd gear on Slotege5_2003's ZE swapped P5 last week so we got a new trans and swapped it out on sunday in a little less than 3 hours. Made a little time lapse vid for fun.

The old trans had been making a lot of terrible noises (but it drove perfect) since it was in a different car over a year ago. It only just last week started intermittently getting stuck in reverse and finally completely locked into 2nd gear and would not come out. The cases had been welded back together at some point and gear oil was leaking from one of the welds. When there is some room in the garage ill tear it open to see what the culprit was.

As I'm getting closer to having my mtx swap finished - I'm peculiar as to what the problem child was.

Thus far I've done the KL swap. It's successful. Since the ATX was trashed though - I figured it was time for a "man-pedal" but I'm going to have to find some supplementary pedal power somehow - the knee just doesn't like it.

How does the stock P5 linkage do with regards to connecting up to the G25M-R trans? Any mods necessary?

No mods needed for that really. Just dont try to route the hard clutch line like factory on the trans. The P5 slave is fine.

well, I have the slave from the PGT and the master ofcourse, from the MS3 I ***** for shift goodies. Hardline is from the PGT - it's all connected and actuates just fine.

So the linkage just bolts right up? No need to shorten the linkage/support bar?

The linkage is slightly shorter from the PGT to the P5 but Im not sure about the MS3.

Doing some long exposure pics under mercury vapor lights tonight. Should yield some nice effects.
