trading P5 for a mazda3??

Im considering trading my p5( 03 auto, black mica) for a 3 5 door, id like to hear some opinions from drivers of each...I love the p5 but it got some prety hard miles racked up fast, lotta road damage( small chips in paint and glass) I never really cared for the color nor the automatic, I bought it to prevent me from mesing wit hthe car since I was( foolishly) restoring a VW an didnt want to be distracted! But now Im dying to do something with the car an just feel im limited by the trans......
But I got the car for a steal, my dad works at the dealership so i got the floor plan buy for employes an familis( 20$ over invoice, 0% interest) so i doesnt cost me much plus paid down quick.....

i guess im having trouble deciding wether to go ahead an but the new one an start fresh, or kep the p5 an pay it of then find somethin new.. id like to hear from drivers of both, any opinions or advice is welcome!

Of the 2 cars, Pro vs 3, which has a better suspension desgin? I heard the 3 has a better interior and is "more refined" though. Im not crazy about the looks of the 3 though.

Whatever you're willing to pay for. The best idea I can think of is to find a used P5 with a 5 spd. Having a big car payment sucks. And a loaded 3 will be at least 18k and about $360 a month....

Stick with the P5 and do some mods. I have a 3s and a 6s but the P5 is a really well done car as well.

yea I went to day and looked at a few, im not real crazy bout the interiors on em, i got to wantin one after sein a lava orange 5door ..i love the color but not the inside, it sounds kinda picky but that would be nuf to turn me off lol..i thuink im gonna stick with mine for awhile, it kinda bums me out seein it get worn out quick, but then again if I buy a new one same thing could happen while costin me more$$$ (headshake

what did you not like about the interior?

Ive heard nothing but good things about the MZ3 interior, including many reviews stating its best in class status.

Glad you sticking with your P5, it's an awesome car in many ways. I would mod it if I were you, turbo, intake, exhaust, springs, etc etc, you can have a lot of fun doing that.

i cut myself off in the earlier post lol, I like the 3 interior, just not the red or blue spots in the fabric, i saw a strato blue that was hot with the blue interior, the orange i like has the red spots, im not sure bout that....but Id rather have the black leather.....if i get one ill get the options I want, but then that runs the price up,so Il probly stick with mine unless I can score some helacious deal on trade....
the only real negative to mine is the automatic, but i can still swap exhausht and a cai , rims ordered but were backordered on me (freak) ....with the 0 interest im gonna keep it paid down , posibly fins another protege to do lil more serious stuff with lol
