Trade and MSP for a Standard M3

I think the mazda protege cruise control uses the vac line and as soon as it hits boost, it messes up the cruise.

I don't know the details of how it works, but I bet you could get around it. Like tap the brake booster line after the check valve. Then it only sees vaccum, no boost.

Edit: Almost forgot. Are you crazy? Keep the MSP. I thought this thread was about a bimmer, i don't think a Mazda 3 is a good trade.

No way!

Your reasons (CC and Moonroof) are not worth trading in for. Just get both of them installed aftermarket and you'll be happy in your MSP.

So the dealer calls me tonight and says they might now be willing to deal on the SP23, but they have some 04 Mazda 3's on the lot.

So would you trade an MSP for a Mazda 3? The thing I like about the Mazda three is the sunroof (I assume it comes with the standard three) and curise control. Oh and HID's are nice...

you're crazy?? i wouldn't do that?? the msp it's a lot better car and is faster, i gave back the mazda3 because i didn't like it and because is not my type just keep the msp please!!!!!

wrong. cruise control was eliminated as a matter of cost, not functionality.

you can add aftermarket electronic cruise control, but the mazda one should work also...Captain KRM has cruise on his p5 with the BEGI kit and it works fine AFAIK

it works great. if i hit "resume accel" or just hold the button to accelerate the car will go into boost and the cruise control is not affected.

Demonic, don't let how other ppl feel affect what you really want to do. Test drive the Mazda 3 and if you feel it is a better car for you then trade away! I can see why some ppl would like the Mazda 3 better, the MSP only appeals to a smaller group of ppl whereas, the Mazda 3 has more to offer a broader range of car buyers. Me? I'm keeping my MSP until I can afford to turbo an 03 IS300 5-spd, even though I still probably wont want to trade the MSP in, it keeps rewarding me everytime I hit the twisities....
