Track times?

Great times, but I think that with some work on your 60' then you'll be on par with the top magazines times.

Nice times man and consistent too :). But I agree, if you can pull a 2.0-2.2 in the 60' that should be good for 14 flat or even a 13.9.

Yeah, you can't compare cars when on different dynos. My car put down 260 on a dynojet, but traps 100mph, just like your car. LSE is know to put down considerably lower numbers then others in the area. 222 is ripping for that dyno!

Either way, sounds like you're have fun with your car, and thats what its all about. Well done mate!(thumb)

Good job, looks like you're right on track with what Car and Driver tested with the MS3. When I get the balls to quit babying my car and try it out on the track I'll post up.

what rpm did you lunch @?

i went to LACR last night, which is the 1st time i've ever been to a drag strip, my fastest time was 15.7 @ 88.7mph(huh)
my reaction time was 1.002 ?? i think thats bad, plus wheel spin(crazy)
& that was my fastest time. that kinda burned me out.
i know i'm not a pro, & i heard that Track really sucks but 15's(protest)

i think i should add that i was at an elavasion of 2750+

No matter how good of a driver you actually are, your first time at the track will always be your worst!! don't worry about it, you'll get better.

^^^ True story. My first time at the track with my MSP was horrible but I ended up pulling alot better times after going again and having a better feel for the car. It'll all come to you. Work on your reaction time and your 60' and the rest will come with that. There's little tricks you'll learn the more you try it that'll help too.

Reaction time doesn't do anything for your 1/4 mile time. That starts once you leave the lights. The only time the reaction time matters is during a heads up race (my favorite). For dinking around at a test in tune, the most important thing is your launch. Too high, you spin or hop, too low, you bog. The first 60 feet of the track will pretty much determine the rest of your run. Getting that time lower is key.

And your shift points.
I have run the car once at the strip, 4 passes w/DSC on. Two passes as if I was sitting in traffic and the light turned green and 2 with the car off, hood up all the way to the burn out box. There was a difference there.
All my launches were from 1800 RPM's and every shift at 6000 to find out how much difference heat soak made on the TMIC. That was my main purpose in going.
First two runs- 2.5 60' times, 14.8 @ 100 MPH just like getting on the on ramp.
Second two runs- 2.4 60' times (DSC went apeshit) , 14.4 @ 100 MPH.
I am eager to try again with lower shift points in 1st to 3rd.

well i learned what i was going wrong
shifting at the wrong time....i was red lining (bang)
when i've read that your suposed to shift @ 5500rpm

the track sucks

reaction time

launching @ the wrong rpm(bang)

i also had the traction control on ahahaha(bike)

oh well i learned it was fun as hell though

Jesse, considering your 60', your times are good, mph should stay basically the same even if you ET better and 100mph seems to be normal trap speed for these cars. A 2.0 60' for you will get deep 13's

bbychvz, when is LACR closing?

that sucks, at least Fontana is a permanent track now instead of a temp parking lot setup, lol

No I live in Ohio but my brother lives in Rosamond and I visit once a year. We hit LACR while I'm there every year so I know of it
