Track day in Phoenix

I posted this on the Mazda3 forum. I figured not just M3's would be interested.

I was wondering how much interest there may be for a high performance driving school at Firebird Raceways west track in October. The cost would be $70 per driver and would give you the school, 4-5 on track sessions, a textbook and certifiicate. The cost is normally almost $200, however if we can bring in a few cars, we will qualify for club rates.

I can tell you from experience, driving on the track is FRICKIN AWESOME!

Street cars must have the manufacturers standard seat belts and equipment. Drivers must wear a Snell (auto racing) or Dot (motorcycle) approved safety helmet less than 10 years old and in good condition. Cars must be safe with no fluid leaks, good tires and all loose items removed.

Since it is a driving school, normal automobile insurance for the car will usually cover any incidents. The PDP program is designed to improve your driving, knowledge and to help reduce accidents. If you have questions on your auto insurance coverage, contact your agent.

So, what do you think?

I would absolutly be interested in this. And I think if you propose your idea to our mazdasports club you'd gain some big interest.
