I put a new wheel/tire combination on my 2025 CX-5, and the installer was under the impression that the car did not use sensors in the wheel but instead relied on ABS data (like in the old days), and so he did not inquire about whether to install some TPMS.
The warning light appeared and I read about the TPMS on newer CX-5, I was still OK with that as I see little point in buying sensors that can only tell me that an unidentified tire has a pressure issue.
I visually check tires every drive, and check pressure frequently, as I do in my other less sophisticated cars. I am the TPMS.
Will problems occur in the car's system if I do not install TPMS and leave the warning light to shine?
Why am I wrong to leave my car in this condition?
