Has about 10+ clubs represented.
All car clubs and others are invited to participate.
The goal is to provide toys in support of Toys for Tots (not toys) and drop them off at Kaneohe Marine Corps Air Station.
Nov 28, 2009 Saturday.
Meet up in the parking lot at Kmart Kapolei from about 9 to 1130am Buy toys for Kmart in Kapolei that morning to support them and for thanking them for allowing us to use their parking lot. No little deal because other locations turned us down.
Pick up military passes for the Toy drop off on Base from the event organizer before we leave in waves by clubs from 1130am. Drive any way you want and arrive at the base with passes after 12 noon. Show your pass but have your ID, registration, insurance ready but it's likely you will be waved on by if you arrive in clubs. About 250 to 300+ cars are expected. You will be given a map of where to go at the gate and head over to Hanger 1.
The marines will have-
Large area for parking- you can find a place and park by club
Free music by the Marine band
Food for sale made by Marine staff/community service volunteers
Clothes and souvenirs for sale supporting our troops.
We will have a Car show and shine- show off your rides.
Maybe a raffle for all those who drop off a toy- pick up a ticket in exchange for your donation.
No shade so bring a tent or canopy since we may be outside of Hanger 1.
Stay at Hangar 1 until 3pm then the event ends.
You are free to drop off the toys and go your own way but you can't just drive around on base.
You are responsible for watching all the speed limits and laws getting to the base and while on the base.
This is a completely volunteer and low budget event that benefits the kids.
Thanks for any support you can provide.
