Touch Up paint

Has anyone used touch up paint on their MSP. I've had mine for just over a month and the streets of Toronto has not been kind. All these small little chips that go down to the metal. Wow MSP paint sucks. Anyways, I'd like to know if it's a good idea to use touch up paint, if it's even available. Thanks

If you fill out the customer service survey you get in the mail, they should mail you a free bottle of Touch Up paint.

If not, the paint code is w1, and can be ordered from www.mazdausa.com

yea might as well. wont be perfect looking, but it will cover up noticeable scrathces from far away.. but it will be noticeable up close.

W1 is the Black Mica code, he's got a TiGrey.

Yeah, like they said above. You won't see the chips from far away, but up close it looks like you used fingernail polish, nothing you can do, except repaint the whole thing.

My hood is the only thing keeping me away from Car shows, hopefully I'll get a new CF evo style hood soon.

We have so much spicy orange touch up paint its just insane. We got the free one for the survey, and then the dealership gave us two more, then the car had a boo boo in the rear end and the paint shop gave us three HUGE bottles of the true paint. So I'd say we have maybe a 1/5 to 1/4 a gallon...

We used touch up paint three times and then gave up. Without doing the whole paint operation, microsanding and glazing, the touchup paint looks out of place and dosn't match at all. Granted it looks better than the black hole on your bumper but it just dosn't work for Spicy Orange. Its a special color treatment that requires special application.

I tried using it on my hood b.c I had a couple nice sized chips but it looked like crap so I did this instead.

Color matched the rear emblems since I cant just take them off. Looks pretty cool now. The protege one looks weird in the pic b.c it snowed last night and then rained and there is still some ice on it and around it but I just took a quick pick this morning. Still have to do the front emblem. It is sparkly like the paint, and shiney bc of clear coat. I will get some pics when its not so bright out and you can tell.

Yeah, those were my thoughts, Ican't really see them unless you know where they are, but I just want to make sure it's protected. Damn, paint is so cheap that some have chipped to the bare metal, and that's what i want to protect.

I hear people say mazda paint is thin, but probably any factory paint is going to be a little thin. Keeping wax on it will help, the tough up paint will be better.

I just used it today on some chips. Yeah, under close scrutiny, it looks like s***, but whatever, **** it, at least it covers up the metal.

Wow at least your touch up paint stays on your car. I tried to cover up the biggest rock chip i have and after 6 coats none of the paint would stay on. Any suggestions?

You own a Spec V and you are complaining about cheap paint? (wedge)

When did you receive these customer survey papers?

Also the yellow touch up paint is unavailable at this time (atleast in Canada) the code is 26s.

If it can be purchased in the states I'd like to get a bottle.
