"Tornado Fuel Saver"

Chalk this one up to being up at 5 am to watch that stupid ass meteor shower the other night and catching some infomercials...
Anyone heard of or seen the infomercial for this Tornado thing...supposedly, you just throw it into your ride and get better milage and between 4-13 hp...being that it was on an infomercial I'm skeptical, but wondering what others think...check it out here...Tornado Website

I'm holding off on it right now... I just dumped $75 on a new grill, which should be NICE! ATGrills
And the carbon fiber altezza's that Tight has are next on the list...
So I can't cough up the dough right now, keep me updated if you make any moves.
I'm figuring around Feb. I might be up for this (time for the raise...)

Ben from this forum can make that grill for $5.. I saw it.. looks pretty cool. Same material and everything.

Hey dont worry, i got bought the grill too from ebay, but i am waiting on them to send it. At grills is taking forever on this. Has anyone else had this problem? Oh you can get the tail lights at nopi.com, you will have to call for them.

I just got an email from some guy who bought one... I found him in one of the complaints about ATgrills on ebay. He said is was basically a piece of s*** and that you have to take apart the whole bumper to install it. Now I'm not much of a mechanic or anything so that might be a little more in depth than I'd like to go (with possibilities of cracking, chipping paint on the bumper, getting the lines back together during reassembly etc...) I might just try and figure a way to make it look nice attaching it from the outside...Whatever...I'll keep you posted on what i do.. a friend of a freind builds his own cars from scratch, so I'm gonna have him lend me a hand to see what we can do.

Hey guys:

Save your money on that Tornado thing, it's a scam...It ranks up there with that electronic supercharger. It's a joke and not worth the money. It doesn't fit right sometimes and it can turn in the intake tract, which doesn't allow it to work (if it works to begin with). It can also get sucked in, won't go into the motor but it won't help flying into the throttle body.

I think SCC did an article on this once or something and they had more trouble with it and didn't see any gains on the dyno.

It was pretty funny, after SCC thrashed it in the article, said it was crap, there was an ad later on in the magazine by the Tornado saying it was tested in that magazine. Funny stuff.

Yeah, all I have heard about that tornado thing is that it is bulls***. From my experience with cars, what you pay for, is what you get. You don't get 30 HP from $70. It would be nice but it isn't going to happen. I wish there was a way to cut corners but I haven't seen any.
