Ok guys.... RARELY do I come on here ot boast about a product because genreally if something works people don't comeon boards like these to say how great they are. Most of the time it's complaining on why something didn't work or sucks, etc... hehe

But in this case I can't help but hope to tell you guys how much this stuff rocks!!!!!!! For any one running boost I'm sure you've at one point heard *ping* or detonation and we all know how bad that is for the engine.

Well I can say that I've been runing Torco mach series gas accelerator for almost two months and havent heard or felt a single occurance of detonation. I live in Phoenix, AZ which is considered one of the hottest places on earth and it's performed up to task in 110 degree's so far.

The over the counter octane boosters rarely do much if anyhting at all- trust me I've tried them all... This stuff is different. If you are looking for an alternative to filling up with racing gas, and are tired of worthless octane boosters check this stuff out. It has the smp3000 approval lol..

I recently turned Beau from Mental Addiction Motorsports onto the stuff and he loves it as well. So much that he's now a reseller of the product. We'll probably get a KILLER group buy goign within the next week or so. Look for it!

So...how much does it up your octane?

Assuming your ~14.5 gallon of gas is full, and you add a bottle (how big?) of this stuff, to say...91 octane fuel, what does your octane become?

It says at 10 gallons of 93 it will up it to 103-104 octane so you'd have to do the math on what a can would do to 14 gallons of 91. I just fill up to 10 gallons of 91 and in that case it should be about 101 octane...

Here's what it looks like. I've only found one other reseller and they sell it for quite a bit mroe than MAMotorsports does.

why not just add 2 gallons of Xylene to 12 gallons of 93?? (sorry 91 guys, I've only used 93). When mixed 6:1 with 93 octane Xylene (over the counter paint thinner) creates 96 octane and only costs about $5-8.

wow, I'm not so sure about that. Probably because I know nothing about Xylene, AND I doubt that the paint shop has dyno charts to prove the increase in HP like the torco does :)

Don't need a paint shop to carry a dyno if you know anything about gasoline. Xylene and toulene are 2 key components (the explosive components) in gasoline. Xylene itsself is used to aid in combustion and also acts as a detergent to clean the carbon build-up from inside the engine. Mix too much Xylene and you end up "washing the walls". Mix it just right and it's like adding 115octane.

Very informative- however not all of us want to break outthe mixing lab everytime we want to fill up and don't want to risk any type of damage that might be caused by adding "too" much. Just my opinion.

Yeah, I read that stuff a long time ago but I couldn't find the xylene or toluene for any decent price around here. I'm excited that Beau will be carrying it! That will save me shipping :D

exactly! :) This stuff is a must.. Especially in the summer if you plan on keeping your boost level and/or raising it at all.

you use the entire bottle on a full tank- it just won't bump you to exactly 104 Octane... Here is what the back of the bottle says:

Treatment Ratio:
-97 Octane when treated with 20 gallons of 93 octane gas.
-104 Octane when treated with 10 gallons of 93 octane gas.
-107 Octane when treated with 5 gallons of 93 octane gas.

So as you can see if only went down 3 Octane with 5 gallons. With my math it looks like if we use one can with a full tank (I think our tnaks hold 13 gallons) we should be around 102 octane.

But if you were going to the track... Fill up 5 gallons and shread it with 107!!!!

Of course this is assuming you have 93 available. Out here in Phx the best we have is 91 so for my equation I have to lower it 2 Octane's.

How much does this Torco stuff cost?
PM MAMotorsports for pricing... He gets a VERY large shipment in this friday. He'll sell it by the bottle or whatever, but I think he'll be settign up a group buy.

Yeah, the stuff works very well. I am working with a friend that sells the stuff here in Omaha. We are going to dyno my 94 turbo Miata at 12 psi with 92 octane, then again with torqo, then with race gas to measure the actual increase in power.

Should be testing within the next two weeks. Still ironing out the details with the dyno shop.

I have used the stuff do eliminate all knock under heavy load. I have used as little as 1/5 of a bottle to 10 gallons and have seen no knock at all, were as I would see knock on identicle pulls with only 92 octane.

so what is a general price, and if i added a bottle to every tank of 91 gas, i would be well over 93 though right? also, my question is, is it possible to go overboard and add too much that would cause your engine to be damaged?
