Took msp to dealer for coolant leak

I know there is coolant coming from somewhere, because I could definitely see the residue. So I take it to a local mazda dealer, not a mazdaspeed certified dealer because Mazda NA told me that I would get the same service. So I take it to them and tell them where I see dried coolant. I pick it up today after leaving it there on monday and they said they could not find anything wrong. I am like wtf what about the dried crusty coolant under the hood, the service manager asks where, I open the hood and it had been wiped up. So I ask to talk to the tech that worked on my car and he said he saw no coolant when he pressure tested the system. So then I was like this is BS and just left. I could smell a small amount of coolant burning on the way home, but I will keep an eye on the level and then when it does it again, I will have pictures so they fix it right.

I know other have had a coolant leak, and what did they do to fix it? Replace clamps?

I had a coolant leak problem for a year - took it to the dealership 26 times ( I counted it on my service reports) Long and short they replaced the one hose 10 times and the whole coolant system 4 times. Needless to say i lemon lawed it cause they had my car in the shop for an accumated 2 months and 16 days for servicing. Eventually I got so fed up with them trying to fix the problem that I sat down the service manager who has since become a good friend and ally in my quest and we did everything possible to finally correct the problem.
Here is a detailed list of things we did to correct it:

1- completely replaced the system complete with all new hoses, junctions, and piping.

2- We replaced all of those stupid spring clamps that expand and contract with the hot and cold ALOT and swapped them out for worm clams (the ones you tighten down with a flathead screwdriver.

3- we found out from a source that the radiator caps on the mazdaspeeds hold more pressure than they are designed from. thats why we could never find coolant when pressure testing the hoses. (doh) ya all that crap eventually came back to show that the whole thing was replaced multiple times and here all we had to do was change the cap!!!!!

4- Finally the stupid thing stopped leaking!!!!!!!! (guitar)

5- and oh ya we got rid of those crappy hoses and the dealer payed to have nice high quality silicone hoses installed (rofl2)

HOPE THIS HELPS CAUSE IT SAVED ME ALOTTA HEADACHE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
