Too high RPM's for speed?

Going about 70mph, my car is at about 2900-3000 rpm in 5th gear, does anyone think that's high? I feel like that's higher than it was when I got the car a few months ago. I had an intake on, but got poor and took it off, but that was 1000 miles ago. I've checked all the hoses and everything for the stock airbox, any other possible locations for a vacuum leak or something? Remember this is a 2006 Mazda6 V6 with the 5 speed manual and about 26,000 miles. Thanks.

Your cruising RPM should not vary unless your clutch is slipping. I think you're just manifesting problems that don't exist.

Have you changed to a different brand/size of tire recently?

I am pretty anal about my car, any little thing seems off and I freak out. But no, I haven't changed my tire size or brand recently, snow tires go on in a couple weeks thought!
