Today, i realized how quick my MSP really is!!

I love the feeling of getting back into the MSP. Right now I'm driving a 95 Ford Escort wagon with a five speed. Getting on the freeway is fun especially when you're used to a turbo kicking in! lol. This car doesn't make a difference from half throttle to full throttle, goes the same either way.

too true. escorts remind me of the Geo storm i had in high school.. makes you smile when that turbo spools huh?

Well I know exactly what you mean by going for something with some speed to something without. I drive a '99 Caravan in the winter. I do try and pull out the MSP when it's decent and dry out. Talk about a night and day diff.
hmmmm ... to go from *put it in drive and 2 min. later your going* to
*drop clutch, hit gas, ohhh shiiiiiitt, shift ... gobble gobble gobble*

hey thats what I have :(
LOL, sorry -- I didn't mean any offense to anyone.

But after having my MSP for almost six years .. and being abruptly forced into the 1.8L N/A .. I feel like I have to get out and push the car up hills, comparatively speaking.

Im driving a 1999 grand am with 250,000km for my winter beater. Just took the Speed out everyday this weekend because of the nice weather, It feels like a BEAST!!!!

well not with the msp but before it i had a 2000 ford escort zx2. it was pretty quick. when i took it to ford to have the motor replaced(crankwalk) i had to drive my brothers 1993 Mustang 2.3 4cyl. it was slow as balls. my zx2 felt so much faster after driving that. but on the same spectrum when i had my zx2 i test drove a V6 probe for a friend and that made my zx2 feel slow. so it rally goes both ways.

i drove a damn matrix for a month while mine was in the shop, my msp felt like a 9 second car for the first 5 min haha

I drive the work truck all day. Fully weighted down Ford F-250. Then I get home and hop in the speed, and holy bat s***, I feel like I get 16 boners just going a block away to the gas station. I love my car, and the guy down my street with an STI doesn't much like my car anymore. Let's just say there was a spirited driving beatdown.(drive)

Well my review is alittle mixed. I use to own a prelude before the msp and i wouldnt say the power difference is huge. The Msp got the cool turbo spin. People hate on Vtec but i thought it was kinda cool in the prelude and it made the car go. I think preludes and s2ks sound pretty mean at high rpms. But turbo is obviously better. But i do miss lude and will get another in the future.

As for the mugen civic. The most overrated car ever. Ill leave it at that.

during the winter i daily drive a 2000 civic ex auto,, take the MSP out on nice days and wow!!!!

Try driving a sports bike. I drive my bike (06 kawi z1000) for a while and then start driving my car and the car feels like the slowest piece of junk of all time. ;)

It's kind of sad....no matter how much I ever spent on my p5 I it will never be as quick or as fun as my $8000 bike ;)

Well when the msp was down, I had to drive my step moms autotragic older tibron (sp?). Either way, getting the msp back was a god send. I just love to cruise when its shifting so nicely and it just pulls me down the road. You can really feel that turbo spool around 3k and its lovely.

when my diff blew I drove mom's 2.2l impreza wagon.... clutch was grabby as hell (and I'm running an exedy by comparison), power band was... where?... got the MSP back, and even breaking in the new clutch it was still night and day. lol..

btw rush... great analogy... the subie feels like it belongs on a farm..

ive had my msp going on 4 years now and have probably driven it maybe 12 months total.. between flipping the car end over end, doing a custom turbo build, melting the cooling system, blowing the engine, and now doing another custom turbo build... its seen its share of garage time.

after the first turbo build and tune(and driving around untuned and out of boost for a month) the car felt amazing.. faster then i ever remembered.. then i popped the engine

i have a Nissan Titan which has some balls so it wasnt too bad.. but is so bad on gas and i drive around 600miles a week so it has been parked for awhile. so for the last two years i have been driving a Chevy Equinox that is the worst piece of s*** ever!!! it drives me nutss!!!

i cant wait to finish this beast.. it wont even be the same car anymore

PS a good comparison to a FI and a NA car is when you blow your couplers.. **** i hated that.. i used to carry a wrench with me just incase i blew one becuase i couldnt stand waiting to get home to fix it.. the car was just too damn slow without the turbo

I agree, I'm surprised at how fun it is to drive the MSP. My car has been sitting in the garage for the winter (only put 500 miles in the last 3 months).

When nice weather comes out though, I take it out for a spin and I have a smile from ear to ear.

no kidding, i know i will miss it when its gone.. i might have the beater honda sold tonight! i hope so.. makes my yard look like poo!
