Today, i realized how quick my MSP really is!!

My turbo went from slight whining to squeeling today at lunch with the slightest bit of gas pedal...so I pulled some piping and slapped a spare filter before the maf and running 8.5:1 n/a SUCKS...but only for a week until my new turbo gets here.

340whp to 90whp sucks bad!

OUCH..... light at the end of the tunnel is worth it!

haha.. sold it.. i made $600 on a beat up honda in 3 days

SWEET ACTION!

i mean hell i take turns at 80-90 MPH that other cars would be sitting on their top if it was attempted in them.. and i dont even get a tire squeel..

i feel that this is why 80% of us drive mazda's, and the ones who dont for this reason quickly learn it.

I got you all beat! I drove my truck for a week and then hope into the msp and it was like I was drivign a z06 vet compared to my 94 f150. Don't get me wrong I love my truck and all but it has no accelleration. All torque no hp and not to mention it handles like boat. Turns that I feel comfortable takign 50-60 in the msp i cant even do 40 in the truck.

I have a 5-speed V6 Mustang, which has nearly the same power/weight ratio as the MSP, and my wife has a P5, modded, but N/A. The Mustang is so much quicker than the P5, and lopes along at high speeds so much more easily, but the P5 handles so much better, and I'm still much more comfortable throwing it into turns, hard around exit ramps, etc.

...so, what I'm saying is, I get it both ways switching between these two cars. They're both really good at what they do, but they do very different things. :D

Sounds like you cant win for loosing (friday)

Maybe I just win either way? After all, I can still do a lot (and I'd have to) to make the Mustang handle or make the P5 fast!

I went down to the shop today, they're just about done with my car but still trying to figure out one little issue (it cuts boost at 4k rpms - with the AFC and without) but we took it on a road test and HOLY CRAPOLY!! That was the first time I had experienced my GT28RS since it's been installed, it was awesome! Tons different from the Cavalier I've been driving LOL (drive)

does it only happen when the engine is cold? i think i might have the same problem :(

My truck accelerates with no problems, I don't feel that comfortable to take the high speed turns I might be comfortable in the MSP though. Buth then again my truck is running a 4" turbo back and a 140hp programer.

So true! When mine was down I was driving a cavy.. Then when the 2871 I have hit that boost, I wasn't ready for the torque steer

It went from just a faint whine to squeel in one day pretty much if I hit
-5vac and a bit of blue smoke. I didn't even give it a chance to do it again before swapping a section of pipe for an air filter before the maf.

So, last night, i went out and bought this beater civic ex with the vtec that i am gonna put a little money into and sell to some high school ricer to make an extra buck, well, i drove it to work this morning for s**** and giggles, plus is snowed here and i dont like the MSP in snow.. and when i got home, put it in the garage to start work and drove the MSP over to get some sandpaper to do some body work (gonna sand it down, and put it in primer.. how most ricers like there civics.. haha) and i jumped on my car on the highway, and was like.. s***.. this bastard is really fast.. haha.. i couldnt belive how used to my car i had gotten to not even realize it was that quick.. i know this is at random, but wondering if anyone else ever gets this experience after driving a n/a car? kinda makes the MSP alot more fun than i realized..

I notice it, when i have to drive my gf's hyundai accent i feel like i am going so damn slow. lol, she drives with me so much in my car she even notices it

Turbo diesels aways help in hp and tq. I bet you have more then 185hp and around 300tq of fury that comes out of the 302 to! I hear you on being comfortable in taking turns in the trucks. Then again mine sits a lot lower then most trucks stock trucks and its not even lowered.

Try getting in the MSP after driving a semi-truck!

Their not that bad as long as your not pulling a trailer. The trucks themselves are pretty quick if you really get on it. If you can shift the gears every 2 seconds. LOL

225hp/500tq factory rated of course and then come the extras. DP tuner is the big HP increase. 80hp+ for greater economy? Hey it works, seems odd to add hp to save fuel but it does.

The only thing that will add that much power for my truck is turbo or supercharger. Yeah it makes sense more power equals less load on the engine
