mazda mp3
i emailed greddy to see if the cat back for the p5 would fit on the mp3, or if they would be making one for the mp3 and this was there responce.

At this time we have not tested the Protege 5 exhaust on the MP#, so we
cannot confirm nor deny fitment on that vehicle. I do not for see us making
an exhaust system for the MP3 as of yet, due partly to it's limited
production compared to the Protege 5 and the fact that it comes with a
Racing Beat rear section. Though this is not as efficient as a full
cat-back, we believe most of the MP3 owners will feel satisfied with that
system as opposed to spending an additional amount of money to purchase
another aftermarket unit.

i dont know if any one is interested, but if you are you might want to talk to greddy also to show them that there is an intrest in a cat back system for the mp3.

this is the email I sent to them, I hope they reply it real hard fo me to rite that good and sound all smart n stuff lol

Hello, I am a mazda protg enthusiast, and member of www.protege5.com,
a web forum dedicated to the mazda mps series. Recently there was a post made by another member concerning an inquiry about production of a full cat- back system for a mazda mp3(same as ES) in which you replied:

"At this time we have not tested the Protg 5 exhaust on the MP3, so we

I can under stand your reasoning but it seems to me to be somewhat ignorant(no offence) there is a quickly growing market for high quality after market parts for the mazda protg. With the introduction of the mazdaspeed, and more company protgs on the show scene, I think in my opinion it would be in your best interest to at least look a little
deeper in to making you cat-back evo (or other model) exhaust for the mazda protg sedan.
Thank you,
Nile

There is only one accent on Proteg.

I guess Greddy does not realize that anything that fits the MP3 will fit any 3rd generation Protege sedan? Once they realize that .. there are thoudands of more cars that it will fit.

There is something like a 4" difference between the Protege5 and sedan exhausts. The Sedan has to be longer at the back.

then write them!!
here's the responce I got:

Here at GReddy, we make decisions to develop new products based on consumer
demand and customer feedback. Though I understand your stand point of
wanting products for your vehicle, the simple fact is that your inquiry is
one of only about three or four that I have ever received for the MP3 since
its release. If we could see a demand for that car then we would definitely
consider developing more product for it.

Currently we are looking over the new Mazdaspeed edition of the Protege as
we feel it has good potential being turbo charged from the factory. It
should be only a matter of time before you see parts for that vehicle
hitting the market. I do want you to know that we appreciate the feedback we
receive from the end users of our products, and that if we do sense a demand
for a product, we are only more than happy to oblige.
