So I am thinking about buying a PG FMIC. What are the pros and cons? I plan on buying this my next paycheck! Reason why I want to is because the mod bug has bit me!

You already have an upgraded TMIC and you want a FMIC? Not that I think it's a bad idea, but don't know exactly if you'll really feel any gains. I for one am very happy with my PG kit. It does a much better job of cooling down than the stocker and the car definitely runs better. To me there were only 2 cons to a FMIC. First is, or was, the price. But with Kens deals you can pick one up for cheaper than the ETS. Second is installation/removal hassle. I didn't mind the 3 hour install because I like that kind of stuff. BUT if I had a warranty issue in the near future and had to undo everything then it would really suck to have to remove the whole FMIC.

i say spend the money on an AP right now instead of the fmic. then later on upgrade the the fmic. just my 2 cents

Get the FMIC - i gotta say i truly love mine - TURBOXS from JCSPEED for $800 New in the box.

At the end of the day the fmic is just plain the way to go. Killer performance, hella bling factor and if your an autocrosser or drag racer when your car sits it heat soaks. the fmic just does a much better job of staying cool. Pg fmic is best bang for buck out there and does its job nicely.

I want it for the beneficiary reasons.

it will benifit u slightly seeing as the front mount will be low and out of the hot motor bay. i noticed a better powerband after i upgraded from my upgraded sidemount to a perrin front mount. i say do it.

It's pretty tough to argue with the around 300 bucks this mod costs now. Get an ebay core, Ken's pipe kit and have at 'er. That's what I going to pick up from my depot today.

Hell, if you did your own cutting/fabricating you could do this for around 200 bucks.

+1 to Darth Vader. Just can't wait until my pipings get arrived from Ken. I have juge JDM core for around 60 bucks and Ken's pipings for 250 bucks. Plus I'm going to fix "long driver-side coupler" problem by welding straight tube on Ken's piping, cause I have 3" hose on core. 310 is the total which is so sweet.

I love me FMIC PG kit was way less than the upgreade TMIC. :) The look is nice and definitly fell more of a pull up top.. Are getting heat soak with your TMIC if not why change??? save for another mod?? Fuel pump?

Perrin FMIC for sale for mazdaspeed protege piping and bov and intercooler $850 not inclueding shipping

^^^ again dude, wrong forum, we cant use your protege parts brah. anyway! FMIC all the way! I love how now the debate is whether or not to get an FMIC, it used to be TMIC vs FMIC and everyone used to say TMIC cause of no lag but with a good FMIC we dont get noticeable lag anyway, glad this forum learned the right answer!!! FMIC ALL THE WAY!
